Collaboration with New Art Foundation
As part of the NAF Program 2025, Zertifier developed a certification framework in close collaboration with the New Art Foundation, ensuring it addresses the real needs of artists, curators, and cultural institutions working with digital and technological art.
NFT and NFC-Based Certification
The system combines NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and NFC tamper-proof tags (Near Field Communication) to assign each artwork a unique, verifiable identity. The NFT functions as an immutable blockchain record of the artwork’s certified data, while the NFC tag physically links the artwork to its digital certificate and detects any attempt at manipulation.
Digital Twins for Long-Term Preservation
Each certified artwork includes a digital twin that stores essential technical and information about how the artwork is presented and exhibited, such as components, materials, software versions, production processes, authorship rights, and maintenance history. All updates are recorded transparently, preserving the full evolution of the work over time.
A Scalable International Standard
This certification approach ensures authenticity, traceability, and long-term conservation, providing a scalable and internationally verifiable standard for artists, galleries, museums, and collectors working within the digital art ecosystem.
